Blackbutt or Eucalyptus Pililaris is a commonly found tree that is a member of the family of Myrtaceae native to southeastern Australia. Eucalyptus Pilaris is highly regarded for the high quality of timber for furniture making, easy regeneration and quick growth.
Select grade Blackbutt timber is a newly harvested timber. It is sourced from plantations with a FSC certification to ensure it is responsibly harvested.
Appearance of Blackbutt timber furniture
Blackbutt timber furniture is a light brown with a pink undertone. It has a wavy grain pattern and small gum veins. Select grade timber has been hand-picked in the yard to have minimal black markings. If a timber with black markings is preferred, we recommend Messmate timber.
This wood is light-toned and is rated for outdoor usage to create such pieces as Blackbutt front doors and dining tables.
