Australian Chestnut Timber Furniture
Origin of Australian Chestnut timber
Australian Chestnut is the trading name for wood from a collection of species of native trees, Eucalyptus Obliqua, E. Sieberi, E. Fastigata.
This timber has been sourced from responsibly managed forests with a FSC certification.
Appearance of Australian Chestnut timber furniture
Australian Chestnut is what is called a select-grade timber. This means that at the timber yard, the planks are hand selected to have minimal to no black markings. This timber is a light blonde tone to light brown with a yellow undertone.
The grain pattern of the timber is tight with gentle waves making a subtle statement. Australian Chestnut timber furniture is versatile and suits many interior design aesthetics. This is a great timber for creating that Scandinavian style whilst using a local Australian timber.
