New range of indoor and outdoor exposed timber couches
Timber is such a beautiful material to work with, each piece has a substance and personality all of its own. Bombora’s head designer Luke Collins has an obsession with wood that sees him wanting to make everything possible from beautiful timber. For some time he has been toying with how to bring timber to the couch, a piece of furniture that is usually just a background piece, never the statement.
Nicknamed the Point Lonsdale, this exposed timber frame couch is the perfect blend of comfort and style. The recycled Messmate timber with its flowing grain lines and striking gum vein contrasts beautifully with the cool modern white of the custom made cushions.
The solid 40mm thick arm rests are perfect for resting something warm or red on when relaxing after a long day.
With the current design trend of polished concrete floors, an exposed timber frame couch brings a beautiful warmth that balances the industrial coolness.
Suave, cool calm and collected, the Queenscliff outdoor couch brings the ultimate luxury to your outdoor room. With the cooler months upon us, fire pits and gas heaters still make it possible to stargaze in comfort.
The thick recycled spotted gum legs have a beautiful warm tone and are rich with grain and sap line features. These pieces also have some lovely recycled features of iron staining from old nail holes and slight tiger markings from water exposure.
The rest of the exposed frame of the couch is constructed from recycled Jarrah and Red Iron Bark, both timbers naturally having the lovely red tones. With the timbers past life as a bridge, the grade 1 outdoor rated timber will easily manage the exposure to the elements over the years.
The textured grey Warrick outdoor material and high quality exterior foam ensures that the cushions can be left in situ all year round without water damage.
