Basket Rattan Dining Chair - Feelgood Designs
Contemporary black powder-coated metal and rattan dining chair by Gian Franco Legler
The Basket Chair won the Good Design Award from the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1953. The design is very modern with that timeless quality that sees it as in fashion today as it was when it was initially released over 65 years ago. This dining chair is constructed from natural rattan with a black powder-coated metal frame.
Available both in a natural colour or a very dark grey, this piece would look fantastic with any of our dining table designs. The medium-tone brown of the pulut-finished rattan is a good tonal match with the Messmate timber we love to use in pieces. The dark grey version looks very close to black and beautifully showcases the black sap line features within the recycled timber.
