Our Team & Torquay Workshop


Bombora Custom Furniture are a family-owned Australian business run by husband & wife team, Luke and Alison Collins. Every piece of bespoke solid timber furniture is handcrafted with quality craftsmanship, eco responsibility & sustainability in mind. 

For the past 12 years, Bombora Custom Furniture have been developing & expanding their range of bespoke timber furniture on the Victorian Surf Coast. In late 2021, the Bombora workshop re-located to its new home in the Torquay business district. As a small business that strives to be sustainable & regenerative, we were able to implement a solar system that would allow our new space to be completely powered by renewable energy.

Bombora also continue to incorporate a ‘one piece – one tree’ policy as part of our eco responsible business practice. For every piece of furniture created, Fifteen Trees will plant one tree. These plantings help to reduce the environmental impact of freight and general equipment maintenance associated with running a business.

Sustainability & eco longevity are very important to us! We love to use local native southern Australian hardwoods for their beauty, durability and low travel miles. Contact us to discuss the variety of recycled & FSC certified timbers we can source for your next custom furniture project!

Our showroom ‘Kiama’ vanity in sustainably harvested & FSC certified new Messmate timber. This bespoke vanity can also be constructed from other newly harvested timbers that have been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) such as Australian Chestnut & American Oak.
