Handcrafted in our Torquay workshop

Every wooden handle we produce is a testament to the craftsmanship of our furniture makers. Far from the world of mass production, each piece is hand-turned or meticulously shaped in our Torquay workshop. This artisan approach ensures that every wooden handle possesses a level of detail and soul that only human hands can provide.

Choosing the right wooden handles for each room

The right handle can influence both the look and functionality of a space. Different rooms have different needs, so choosing the right size, shape and placement can help create a more practical and cohesive result throughout the home.

  • Kitchens — Smaller wooden handles or linear profiles work well across cupboards and drawers, creating a practical finish that still feels warm and refined.
  • Bathrooms and laundries The right wooden handle for doors can soften harder materials like tile, stone and cabinetry, adding a more natural touch to functional spaces.
  • Wardrobes — Handle length and placement can help create a clean, balanced look across taller doors.
  • Entryways —Larger wooden door handles can become a standout design feature, giving the front of the home a more inviting and considered feel.

Benefits of custom wooden door handles

Custom wooden door handles offer a more tailored result than off-the-shelf hardware, allowing you to choose details that better suit your space, style and practical needs. From scale and proportion to material and finish, each element can be selected with the overall design in mind.

  • Custom sizing

A made-to-order size helps ensure the handle feels balanced on the door and comfortable in daily use, whether you need something subtle or more of a statement piece.

  • Timber selection

Choosing your preferred timber lets you match existing joinery or introduce contrast, while also highlighting the wood's natural grain and character.

  • Finish options

Select finishes based on where the handle will be used to help protect the timber while achieving the look you want for indoor or outdoor settings.

  • A more cohesive design

Customisation makes it easier to create a handle that feels considered within the wider home, rather than like a generic finishing detail.

  • A unique final result

With natural timber variation and handcrafted shaping, custom wooden door handles bring individuality to a space and create a feature that feels personal to your home.

Durable finishes for every environment

To ensure each wooden handle maintains its lustre and structural integrity, we offer a range of professional finishes. For interior joinery in high-traffic kitchens or humid bathrooms, our Osmo Polyx matte finish provides a robust, water-resistant barrier that preserves the timber's natural feel.

If you’re selecting a wooden handle door for an external entrance, our UV-protected satin oil is essential. This finish is specifically formulated to shield the timber from the harsh Australian sun, preventing greying and moisture ingress. Whether you prefer a raw look or a fully protected surface, our finishes are designed to highlight the unique grain of your chosen species while providing long-lasting durability.
