A solid timber door instantly elevates the entrance of your home with its warmth, texture, and natural beauty. Unlike hollow-core alternatives, our custom hardwood doors feel substantial, secure and satisfying to use. Each door is made to order, tailored precisely to your measurements and preferred timber, ensuring a seamless fit with your home’s style.
Our wooden entry doors are constructed from 40mm thick Australian hardwood, providing strength, durability, and a solid feel. Every design includes a breadboard construction, reinforcing the door to minimise movement and ensure long-term structural stability.
We offer a beautiful selection of native Australian timbers to suit a range of design styles:
Blackbutt – A light, clean finish with minimal grain features, perfect for modern or minimalist homes
Messmate – Character-filled timber with warm tones and distinctive sap lines
Recycled Messmate – More varied in tone than standard Messmate with signs of the timber’s previous life such as nail holes
From coastal retreats to rural homesteads and modern family homes, there's a timber option that will bring your vision to life.
A hardwood front door is best suited for homes where the entrance is shielded from heavy rain and prolonged sunlight. While robust by nature, solid timber responds to environmental conditions, and direct exposure to UV or moisture can cause movement or greying off over time.
For best results, install your door in a protected location such as under a porch, awning, or veranda.
All doors are delivered unfinished, as applying a finish beforehand can lead to damage during freight or while being hung. Once installed, your will need to apply a coat of finish. We recommend sealing your door with Osmo UV Protection Oil, a non-toxic finish that guards against greying and allows the timber to breathe and adjust with seasonal changes.
